An NLP Toolkit for Kids — read aloud
by Krissy Hall · 2 minutes 16 seconds

Hello, explorer! You have a superpower. It’s right behind your eyes and between your ears. It’s your amazing mind!
-
This little book helps you discover you — your feelings, your thoughts, and all the cool tools you already have inside.
-
There’s nobody in the whole wide world exactly like me!
A kid
-
Tool 1
Tool one. Your feelings are messengers. Happy, sad, mad, scared — every feeling is trying to help you. You just say: thank you, messenger — and listen.
-
Tool 2
Tool two. Your calm button. Put one hand on your heart. Feel it beating. Take one slow breath, like you’re smelling a flower. And whisper your calm word.
-
Safe. I’m okay.
A kid
-
Practice it when you feel good, and on a hard day, your calm button brings the calm right back. It goes everywhere with you.
-
Tool 3
Tool three. Thoughts are like clouds. They float across your mind, and they float away. And you? You are the big blue sky. The clouds always pass. The sky always stays.
-
Tool 4
Tool four. The movie in your mind. You’re the director! Make a scary picture small and grey and far away. Make a happy picture big and bright and close.
-
I get to choose which movie plays!
A kid
-
Tool 5
Tool five. The magic word. When your mind says I can’t, add one tiny word on the end — yet.
-
I can’t do it… yet!
A kid
-
Every mistake isn’t a fail. It’s your amazing brain learning and growing.
-
Tool 6
Tool six. Meet future you. Somewhere up ahead is a braver, wiser you — who already got through the hard day you’re having. Wave to them!
-
Keep going. You’ve got this!
A kid
-
Tool 7
Tool seven. Kind words make a kind world. Talk to yourself like your very best friend.
-
I am kind. I am brave. I am enough.
A kid
-
And remember, explorer — you already have everything you need. Brave, kind, curious, calm — all packed inside you, since before you were born.
-
You are the explorer of you. Be the change. Change the world — starting with you.
-
I am me, and me is wonderful!

About these voices
Krissy’s own preview of this Living Book used your device’s built-in speech,
and said the finished audiobook — “with warm, real, happy child voices” — was one production
pass away. That pass is done here: this is real audio, cut line by line so the words light up
as they are read and you can tap any line to hear it. One honest correction, though. The two
voices are synthesised (ElevenLabs eleven_v3: Matilda
narrating, Lily for the kid lines), not recordings of children. Recording real
children is still a studio session — and the player would take those files unchanged.
